Seriton Fernandes

Seriton Fernandes was born in Goa and began his career with the youth setup of Dempo Sports Club. He signed for Laxmi Prasad Sports Club in 2014 to play in the Goa Professional League. A year later, he transferred to Churchill Brothers. However, before the start of the 2015-16 I-League season, Seriton was loaned to Sporting Clube De Goa with whom he signed a permanent contract five months later.

A versatile player, Seriton has shown an ability to play as a winger as well as full-back. He was selected by FC Goa in the 2017 Hero ISL Draft and is currently playing in his seventh season at the Club.

The full-back had an impressive 2019-20 season where he played a vital role in the Gaurs’ qualification to the AFC Champions League. His consistency on the field also earned him a National team call-up for the very first time.

The 30-year-old holds the distinction of playing the most matches for FC Goa, having notched 123 appearances for the Gaurs across all competitions. He was a part of the Club’s squads that won the Super Cup in 2019, ISL Shield in 2020 and the Durand Cup in 2021.
