Hailing from Shillong, Meghalaya, the 26-year-old Redeem Tlang penned a pre-contract with FC Goa in June 2020.
The fleet-footed winger came through the ranks at Shillong Lajong and made his I-League debut in 2013. After a number of successful seasons in the red of Lajong, he made a permanent move to the Highlanders in 2018 – making an immediate impact.
With him controlling the right-wing, NorthEast United made it to the playoffs for the very first time in the 2018/19 season. It also saw the winger improve on a personal front – scoring 3 goals.
The winger debuted for the Gaurs in the 2nd leg of the ISL Play-Offs against Mumbai. He went onto represent Goa in the AFC Champions League League as well as scoring his first goal against Bengaluru in the Durand Cup.
