Native of Meghalaya, Lionel Daryl Rymmei is a young goalkeeper who brings composure and shot-stopping ability to the FC Goa setup. A product of the club’s development pathway, he represents the next generation of talent emerging through the ranks, currently featuring for the FC Goa Development side.

Lionel joined FC Goa’s youth structure in 2024 and has since been part of the squad competing in the Reliance Foundation Development League and the Goa Pro League gaining valuable competitive experience at the youth level. His performances between the sticks have seen him consistently feature as a starter, underlining his reliability and growing presence in goal.

An agile and confident goalkeeper, Lionel is known for his reflexes and command of the penalty area. He has also been recognised at the national level, having been part of the India U20 setup, highlighting his potential as one of the promising young goalkeepers in the country
