Hailing from Loutolim, Brison Fernandes is a midfielder who loves to go forward and attack as well as to stay back and defend. He started playing football at the age of 10 and initially played as a striker for Salgaocar’s U-14 for two years.

Later, he was scouted by the Gaurs while he was playing in a local village tournament and the Club offered him a contract for the first time ahead of the 2016-17 season.

The 2019-20 season was the first big one for Fernandes, who was a vital part of the team that advanced to the final round of the Elite League, with five wins and just one loss from eight group stage matches. He also scored two goals in the competition.

He went on to star for the Gaurs in the Goa Pro League, TACA Goa U20 First Division League and the Reliance Foundation Development League. In 2021-22, he was promoted to the Club’s first team, and he went on to make his ISL debut later that season.
