Malsawmtluanga is a midfielder hailing from Mizoram. Known for being a box-to-box player, the youngster draws inspiration from Andres Iniesta. Having started playing the game at the age of 8, he began his professional career with TATA Trust Mizoram at the U-15 level and was a part of the U-17 Nationals, where he was first noticed by the Gaurs.

The youngster played a pivotal role in the FC Goa Development Team qualifying for the National Group Stage of the Reliance Foundation Development League this season. Malsawmtluanga was also an important part of the side in the Goa Pro League and Hero 2nd Division League.
