FC Goa vs NorthEast United: Coro wins Gaur of the match fan vote

Ferran Corominas has been adjudged the Gaur of the match by fans of FC Goa after his stellar display contributed to the club winning 2-0 against NorthEast United FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda.

The man better known as Coro scored the second goal of the game from the penalty spot after being fouled inside the penalty area by NorthEast defender Jose Leudo.

Leudo was given his marching orders for the foul on Coro, and the Spaniard stepped up to make it 2-0 and secure all three points for the Gaurs.

The successful penalty finish marked Coro’s eighth goal of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2019-20 season, taking him to the top of the scoring charts alongside Roy Krishna of ATK.

Fans on social media voted in large numbers and voted predominantly in favour of Coro to be crowned the Gaur of the match for his performance, and few can argue with the decision.

The win against the Highlanders at Fatorda takes the Gaurs up to 24 points from 12 games and keeps them top of the table as things stand.

With important games still to play, fans will hope that Coro can continue his good form and help the team reach the playoffs.
