Hero 2nd Division League: Opi heroics helps FC Goa Developmental Team beat Kerala Blasters (Reserves)

The FC Goa Developmental Team came away with a comfortable 3-1 win against Kerala Blasters (Reserves) thanks to a double strike from Lalawmpuia Ralte (Opi).

In the absence of Aaren D’Silva, Opi led the line for FC Goa, and was on target as early as the 33rd minute of the match, giving the Gaurs a well deserved lead.

Ronaldo equalised for Kerala early in the second half, but the domination of the FC Goa Dev Team finally paid off, and Opi was on hand to score his and the team’s second goal after the hour mark.

There was some gloss applied on the scoreline late on, as Flan Gomes got in on the action and bagged a goal for himself, making it 3-1 and ensuring that the Gaurs leave with a victory.

FC Goa were beaten 1-0 by FC Bengaluru United in their previous Hero 2nd Division League contest, and this was the perfect way to strike back and ensure that the team remains on course to achieve glory in the competition.

The Dev Team continues its journey in Kerala as they take on FC Kerala next on February 12.
